Petrol prices in Pakistan| Fuel price in Pakistan

Pakistan is currently facing a massive and record-breaking hike in fuel prices, effective today, April 3, 2026. This sudden increase is being linked to global energy market disruptions caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Here are the latest rates as of today:

Current Fuel Prices (Effective April 3, 2026)

Key Highlights of the Announcement

Reason for Hike: Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that international crude prices have surged significantly due to the West Asia crisis, with diesel crossing $250 per barrel globally.

Subsidy for Bikers: To provide some relief, the government has announced a Rs. 100 per litre subsidy for motorcycle users, capped at 20 litres per month.

Support for Farmers: Small farmers are set to receive a one-time support payment of Rs. 1,500 per acre.

Petroleum Levy: The levy on petrol has been increased to Rs. 160 per litre, while the levy on diesel has been reduced to zero to manage the even sharper spike in diesel costs.

This is the second major increase in less than a month, following a Rs. 55 hike in early March, bringing fuel costs to their highest-ever levels in the country's history.
